I think I'm doing better on my Defense quizzes. Granted, we've only had two but the second was much better than the first. I think I'm more anxious about my Arithmancy report though, and the Muggle Studies one due soon. I chose the zoo to report on, so I hope that's okay. |

I hope everyone had a nice trip on the Express. It was great finally seeing Mum and Da again... although now I have several things to fix around the house. Mum said Da tried to fix my boxes, but he was unsuccessful so now I need to work on them. But to make up for it, Da bought me a brand new -well... it's about seventy years old but it's "new" for me- transmission for my automobile. I'm still tweaking the carburettor though, so we'll see if I have enough time to work on it during break.

Will you be coming this week or next? Do you know which day? Mum wants to bake -which is actually a bit of a surprise in itself since my uncle does more baking than she does- but she'd like to know when you're coming. Basically, it's because if she bakes, Da, Nicolas, and Jer will eat everything in sight (which happens when she doesn't bake too) and she wants to make sure we have enough to eat.
And you can see my automobile! I think I've made some improvements since last you came. And my uncle bought me a few new books! And some ingredients for my labouratory. And um- Da bought me a new board game called... Pictionary? If you'd like to try it.

Is- Saturday good? Mum said she could take me to the train station then unless you think she could just side-along apparate me to your home? But then you'd have to side-along apparate me back? Um- either way is okay. I- like trains, so I wouldn't mind the three-hour ride.
Visiting me my brothers and me should be a bit simpler. You could apparate here or use the floo - Mum can ask for temporary access from your fireplace if you prefer that instead - or fly. If- um Friday night for dinner is fine with you, that's when everyone will be home that will probably be the best. Both Nicolas and Jer will be around, and you guys can hang out.

The last two teams dive today. I wonder how we did on time. Good luck, Alpha, Omega! The lake was cold yesterday, and it was a bit difficult coordinating everyone but we managed.

I know this is silly and my brothers have teased me before that I have no hormones and I started to believe them but is it bad that I blushed at the sight of Cal in swimming trunks? All the guys were wearing them of course, but I just don't look at guys like that! At least, I didn't before. And I don't think he they were looking at me either (which is good because my brothers would kill them) especially when Jewel and Nora were there. Did you blush too, Eve? Seeing Veejay in his?
Why do I feel like hitting myself because of this? I think I should look at things analytically and not think about it or human anatomy (dang it! why did Alexei have to bring up that subject last month?!).
I will- concentrate on my automobile. That's what I should do. Yes. The end.

I think we're ahead of the other teams and it's exciting! judging by the looks we received when we emerged from the Room of Requirement last night. If I'm not mistaken, I saw Epsilon head to Hogsmeade themselves this morning.
Professor Flitwick said our final task will be on March 4th. Does anyone want to practice with me today? Besides the bubble-head charm, I mean. I haven't tested out defense spells underwater in a while...

Next Wednesday will be our next (and possibly last?) meeting. I believe Professor Flitwick was happy with our progress; he seemed to enjoy the table and graph I provided to him, and suggested we invite a few more of our friends?
Since Friday is our field trip, we won't have a chance to practice then. Would you guys like to practice on Saturday instead? Also, since the Scavenger Hunt will begin the following Monday, should we try to keep our defense practices on Wednesday and Friday even though most of us are on different teams? After all, just because we are on different teams doesn't mean we have to stop.

It's all right if you changed your mind don't feel comfortable don't like me say "no" - I would completely understand and it wouldn't hurt our friendship I hope. I just needed to know because I don't like being confused. |

The Scavenger Hunt looks interesting. I don't know why some people keep saying it's ridiculous. NEWT level potions and inanimate to animate transfigurations, and I've even heard of a possible trip dealing with the merpeople. It could, of course, just have been Professor Flitwick's excitement spilling when I bumped into him in the owlery, but he seems genuinely enthused about providing the game to test our skills and quick wits. He thinks Ravenclaws are a shoe-in to win (granted because he's our Head of House) but since the teams are randomized, it is anyone's guess. I hope we won't actually have to duel though, but if it happens, I hope my teammates are better at it than I am.
